potato vine
Potato vine. PicturesLab.

You can see by the copyright details in the image that this is one of my older photos. A Nikon D80 closeup, as these are a small flower, downloaded to my phone and rendered to produce this, to me, the first true ‘drawing’ that happened for me (in my mind, like oil pastels). As I’ve said in an earlier post, the Edge Detection effect in combination with Colorization results in something one just doesn’t expect. Could I tweak what showed and what didn’t, Not really. There is just the one slider in Edge Detection and a Color tickbox. Increasing intensity of the outlines/colours that do appear (moving the slider to the left) and/or clicking onto the Color tickbox are it! The border adds that further smudge/dirty effect. Although the colours of the flower are way off, I like it. I’ll put it down to creative licence!

So, when you see other posts in this border style, you’ll know they are much older pix. I’m sure you all know about phases of similarity when trying new things! I am now exploring much further with the PicturesLab app, and have recently obtained some truly interesting results, which I’ll upload at some stage. Astounding! Happy!  😎

Long-time photo enthusiast, my 'style' could be defined as colourful and eclectic, 'tho I do like to experiment.
