Hardware Lane. Autodeskpixlr + Fhotoroom.

Do I know them? No. They very thoughtfully placed themselves there! 😁 They provide great scale for the trees.

  1. Hi Janina, I feel I am being taken back in time when I look at the photos of Hardware Lane. I used to work in one of the office buildings across the road – mind you, I am not the least bit nostalgic for those days. As is often said, the laneways and byways of the CBD give Melbourne its distinctive character.

    1. Nostalgia does wonders for the memory. This area is not my usual domain. An appointment just before Christmas brought me there. The Lane between Little Bourke and Lonsdale has become the café scene over recent years and has a nice buzz to it. Not so much this stretch looking towards Bourke as mostly small businesses at street level and that monstrous multi-level car park on the left. Always changing. The city used to be my backyard during my teens, so knew the laneways very well. 🎈
